Post Details and Pay Scale
As per the official notification, the recruitment will be conducted for the following posts under CHSL 2025:
- Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) – Pay Level 2: ₹19,900 to ₹63,200
- Data Entry Operator (DEO) – Pay Level 4 & 5: ₹25,500 to ₹92,300
- Data Entry Operator, Grade 'A' – Pay Level 4: ₹25,500 to ₹81,100

Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
To be eligible, candidates must be between 18 to 27 years of age as on 1st January 2026. That means the date of birth should lie between 02-01-1999 and 01-01-2008 (both dates inclusive). Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as follows:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwD (Unreserved): 10 years
- PwD (OBC): 13 years
- PwD (SC/ST): 15 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deduction of military service
Educational Qualification
The minimum qualification required is 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent from a recognized Board or University. For certain Data Entry Operator posts (in Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and Ministry of Culture), it is mandatory to have passed 12th in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject.
Application Fee
The application fee is ₹100 for General and OBC category candidates. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwD, Ex-Servicemen, and all women applicants are exempted from the fee. Payment can be made via BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or Debit/Credit cards. Offline payment via SBI Challan is also available.

CHSL Exam Pattern
Tier-I (Computer Based Test)
